I believe that a smooth running team needs to have precise communications, clear processes and a vision to work toward. Our team at Webolutions makes great efforts each and every day to live this. It has taught us to focus on our goals and not let distractions get in the way.
As the Financial Manager of Webolutions, my current responsibilities include:
Futuristic - I am inspired by the future and what it could be. Through the sharing of my visions, I actively inspire others with my visions of the future.
Relator - I enjoy close relationships with others and find deep satisfaction in working hard with team members to achieve a goal. We are a very team-oriented company and I thrive in this environment.
Empathy - I can sense the feelings of other people by imagining myself in others’ lives or others’ situations. This is a helpful strength for me in my position as Operations Manager.
1993 – 2004 – Office Manager/Travel Agent – 11 years as a travel agent, specializing in the Caribbean and honeymoons. Destination weddings were my favorite request, and the most challenging, as well.
1984 – 1992 – Human Resources Administrator, Martin Marietta – 8 years working with a team to train management-level engineers on conducting performance reviews, how best to run their departmental team meetings, and succession planning.
I have a passion for all animals, in particular, dogs and their well-being. I’ve volunteered at the Dumb Friends League since 2010, and spend the first half of the day each Saturday, walking dogs at the Buddy Center in Castle Rock, and at the same time using social media to ‘get the word out’ about some of the adoptable dogs.
My husband and I have 5 kids together, so much of my free time over the last 20+ years has been spent raising kids, helping with school projects and putting many miles on my car driving them to various sporting/school events. now that we are empty-nesters, I’ve been able to focus more on myself and my interests such as writing short stories, taking my dog on long walks around our beautiful Roxborough community, and I’ve recently taken up knitting. Scarves for everyone!
2010 – Present - Dumb Friends League volunteer – In addition to dog-walking, I am also active in many of their fundraising events each year, such as the Furry Scurry, the Wag ‘n Trail and working the phone bank at their annual fundraising telethon, featured on Channel 31.
2010 – 2013 - Make-A- Wish Kickball Tournament Fundraising
2011 – 2012 - Grocery Cart Race – For a Comitis Crisis Center Fundraising event
2007 and 2008 - I was the Cookie Director for my daughter’s Girl Scout troop in Roxborough. We had record cookie sales in 2007 and were the highest selling troop in Douglas County that year.
2010 - Diabetes Walk Denver Fundraising
2018 - Dumb Friends Team - 1,000 hours of volunteering - Extreme Team Member
2018 Winner Zucchini Cook-off - Chocolate Zucchini donuts (sweet category)
