Potatoes USA is the nation’s potato marketing and research organization. Based in Denver, Colorado, Potatoes USA represents more than 2,500 potato growers and handlers across the country. Potatoes USA was established in 1971 by a group of potato growers to promote the benefits of eating potatoes. Today, as the largest vegetable commodity board, Potatoes USA is proud to be recognized as an innovator in the produce industry.
Webolutions created the design and build of the previous version of the site in 2016 (and a version prior to that in 2012). Over time and with new research and focus, Potatoes USA determined it was best to shift marketing efforts in a new direction, more toward how potatoes can power your body’s performance. Potatoes USA worked with SRG to create new branding for this direction. We took the updated branding guidelines and created a fresh and new website design, focusing on athletic performance.
Potatoes USA underwent a rebranding exercise to shift marketing efforts toward potatoes powering the body’s performance. Highlighting athletes and the many ways they incorporate potatoes into their nutrition routine.
We took those updated branding elements and created mock ups for the look and feel of the website. Using similar content blocks as the previous version of the website, we freshened everything up, including new fonts and colors.
This is where the design becomes a reality. New look and feel is implemented! This website uses content blocks to create each page in a unique way. We also implemented an advanced potato recipe search. And has a multiple mini sites to target their specific audiences.
Webolutions and Potatoes USA won a Davey award for Top Website in the Food & Beverage Category in 2016.
